Seeking HF Mentor (Paid)

Hi—I’m looking to break into a HF or Long Only shop FT and would love mentorship if anyone is open to it. I’ll pay and we can work out details. A lot of the mentorship would just consist of me sending over my memos to get your feedback, talking about idea generation, best differentiated sources of knowledge, steps to approach with recruiting, etc. Thanks.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there are several mentorship opportunities available for individuals looking to break into hedge funds or long-only shops. Here are some actionable steps:

  1. WSO Mentors: You can book a call with experienced mentors on Wall Street Oasis. For example, there’s a mentor profile linked in the Q&A section of a former Long/Short Research Analyst turned VP of Growth Equities. These mentors often provide tailored advice on idea generation, memo feedback, and recruiting strategies.

  2. Free Mentorship Programs: Some professionals on WSO offer free mentorship programs. For instance, a former GS IBD analyst is coaching a cohort of students to secure offers and excel in their roles. While this program is free, it might be worth exploring if they align with your goals.

  3. Paid Mentorship: If you're specifically looking for paid mentorship, you can reach out to mentors who explicitly offer such services. Many WSO users, including those with hedge fund and private equity experience, are open to providing guidance for a fee.

  4. Networking on WSO: Engage with threads and discussions related to hedge fund recruiting. Many users share insights, and some might be open to mentorship if you reach out directly.

If you're interested in connecting with a mentor, consider browsing the WSO forums or reaching out to individuals who have shared their profiles or mentorship offerings.
