Should you engage in a bidding war with two competitive hedge fund offers?

Title says it all^
The two jobs are comparable in salary and “prestige”/name brand. The roles are slightly different though with the offer I’m leaning towards being the one with a better fit. That said, should I engage in a bidding war over a more competitive compensation? Just don’t want to cause any negative repercussions. Thanks in advance.
