SM Case Study Question
Have a case coming up at an SM and they are keeping it open ended (i.e we come up with an idea vs them giving a ticker). SM invests across asset classes so no restrictions. Is it better to pitch something I know inside out and can show great work quality but doesn’t 100% align (maybe aligns 70%) with the firm’s current focus or pitch something that 100% aligns with current focus but work quality will lack vs the former. I think it’s better to go with the former because work quality trumps the pitch, but anyone have any thoughts?
