Strategy & ops role at a hedge fund

I have an on-site with a well known quant fund for their Strategy & Ops team in New York. I've enjoyed my convos so far and the mandate for the team seems broad (as expected). 1) Anyone with personal experience working for a hedge fund on a similar team? Curious to learn what your exp was like

2) More about the hedge fund space in general; with a lot more alternative data providers out there and more competition, how would a systematic hedge fund make sure the data they get is still valuable to capture alpha?

Good luck on the on-site. Please Fup about how it went or post in the interviews section for company.

How well versed are you in data analysis?

2) The question is a bit bespoke. I'm sure it'd depend on the fund. Which fund is it?
