Trade associate position at Bridgewater
I recently talked to a headhunter about this role. Does anyone know much about it or someone who has held this position? It seems like a combination of execution trading and research.

The 'traders' at Bridgewater at execution-only. You don't do fundamental research.
You might do some sort of 'research' on market liquidity, but you're not coming up with trading ideas (just the best way to execute them).
Still, it's a good job, but you should know what you're getting into.
If you run a search on Bridgewater, you'll find some interesting posts. ^ correct - execution only. Separate team does the research/trading ideas.
FYI, I didn't interview with the group, but I can confirm stories that have been repeated on WSO (in that Bridgewater is a bit of an odd duck culture-wise) are true - talked to employees there. Fit is very important, and everything's out in the open (e.g. your reviews are openly discussed, not in private by a group). Interviews can drag on for a long time. Office is quite nice - very nice views.
