Trying to find salary ranges - how do I figure out which hedge funds are comparable?

I'm interviewing at a hedge fund that hasn't been mentioned on this forum at all, and the open position has a crazy big salary range according to the internet. I'm trying to find a roughly equivalent firm on WSO or Glassdoor that has posted salaries so I know what to expect. What metrics would you use for this? Assets under management? Location?
