Very young funds?

Let's say AUM is $1-2bn. Team seems solid and from the screen you see they work a lot. Fund performance is not really meaningful since the fund is either 1 or 2 years old.

Let's say founders are a bunch of ex-bankers.

Would you think about joining this fund?

What if founders are ex-PMs?

Billion plus aum after a few years is pretty rare and usually means the fund launched with significant institutional backing. Would have no problem joining a fund with this type of profile, if their strategy aligned with my interests.

BTW, there is almost no chance a fund would launch of this size founded by ex bankers.
