What happens once your pod blows up?

Have an offer at a big multi manager. I am aware of the terrible job security at these places but wanted to know any stories first or second-hand on what happens when your PM underperforms and the pod blows up?

  • How long do you have to find another job?
  • Where do analysts usually try to go? Other multi-managers?
  • How many are actually successful in finding something, and how many months unemployed are they in the middle?

Basically just looking for anecdotal stories of people who had their pod blow up. What happened next?
