What Skills are Worth Learning?
What skills do you think are worth learning to a degree of intermediate understanding (outside of the basic ones like Excel, PPT, etc)? I'm going into the credit space but all advice is welcome - trying to broaden my usefulness as an analyst, and I have 2 years left of college with a very good bit of free time.
Following
PPT and Excel come easily and quickly in any office setting. I'd focus on learning about credit fundamentals / math in general - understand duration, YTM, spreads, option adjusted spread, convexity, etc. A lot of people know the basics, but to really understand the math well will help you a lot.
