When do you cut your analyst position?
Say your analyst recommends a stock long and it goes down 5% in a week (and their hedges or the rest of sector/market is flat) and they can’t explain why. Do you underwrite the position again? Have them explain why the stock moved? Or chalk it up to noise/ST flows? Maybe 5% is too high or too low as well.
