When to start buyside recruit (S&T)

First year analyst in EQD at a BB. Curious whether buyside recruiting follows a similar timeline to IB (i.e., recruit starts right after school) or if timelines don’t really matter for S&T. Does the calculus change for sales vs trading vs structuring?

Would appreciate any advice from those who have made the jump or are also planning on it!

Nope still enjoying my seat just want to keep options on the table!

SnT buyside recruiting is more ad hawk than structured. You'll see some things open, but as a whole it'll mostly be a few years before you have the reputation needed for any risk taking seats, as right now most firms would only consider you for execution roles.
