Which Activist and/or Flexible Mandate HF Recruit out of IB?
In the throes of on-cycle recruiting and it would be great if anyone could provide a list of activist hedge funds (e.g Starboard Value, Elliott, ValueAct) and flexible mandate hedge funds that invest across asset classes (e.g Pershing Square, Baupost) that recruit people straight out of IB. Additionally any information about their recruiting timeline, head hunter coverage, interview structure etc.. would be most greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Bump
Almost everyone at Elliott comes from PE / business school.
i know Trian does some banking recruiting but very limited slots
do you think its possible to go from mmhf to b-school (or jd/mba) and then elliott? i see some strange/convoluted paths being hired there off linkedin so curious as if it is a networking heavy thing at that point
what caliber of MBA can one get from a big 3 podshop? Anybody thoughts?
genuinely curious on this too -- probably need some sort of stronger x-factor, maybe lawschool (ie jd/mbas) as an alternate path? ik some P72 academy grads have headed to lawschool
Starboard hired from EVR before. Baupost also hired PJT RSSG oncycle before as well
Would you say RX is the best group for activist HF recruiting or does group not matter. Trying to decide about group placement now
Any info on London? Are the above names relevant here too?
