Will DE Shaw think Im an idiot for applying to a fellowship I don't qualify for?
I'm a dude and I applied for Latitude, fellowship at DE Shaw for URMs. On the application, there was a checkbox to check the fellowships you were applying for. I knew they had another fellowship for everyone, so I said eh why not and checked that box. Turns out it was a fellowship specifically for women. Are they going to hold this against me on my application, or if I ever apply for an internship or job with them?
