Analysis training...camps? class?

Hi all,

Basically, how do I into finance?

I'm a 3.8 US junior getting degrees in math and econ. I'll be studying abroad in the UK for next year, and I want to score an IB 2013 summer internship in london (one year from now). But...I do not know any finance at all, beyond a single semester of financial accounting. How do I best position myself for an internship? How much shit do I have to learn before I can be a good intern candidate? Here are what I think my learning opportunities are, along with my priors about them: 1. I take a few of those expensive beginner and intermidiate analyst training programs. Expensive, but time efficient. Unfortunately, they are short and I may not develop the skills I need. 2. I take an intro to finance course at my abroad school (high opportunity cost, so undesirable). 3. ??? Thanks in advance to anyone who replies. I appreciate it.
