Hi everyone,
Im interviewing for an analyst position within a TMT team. Im a recent graduate so its an A1 role but ive been told that the interview/assessment will revolve around a CIM and then follow up questions. Would someone be able to provide a bit of info and perhaps a list of concepts i should brush up on as im not too sure what to expect.

Sounds like you've got an exciting opportunity ahead! When it comes to a TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecom) interview, there are a few key areas you might want to focus on.
Understanding of the TMT Sector: This is a broad sector with a lot of sub-sectors. It's important to have a general understanding of the industry, but also to dive deep into a few areas that interest you. For example, if you're interested in SaaS, make sure you know it well.
Financial Modeling: This is a key skill for any analyst. You should be comfortable with 3-statement models, DCFs, accretion/dilution analysis, comp and precedent analysis.
Company Analysis: In the interview, you might be asked about "companies you are following". It's a good idea to pick lesser-known companies rather than the obvious big names. This shows you've done your homework and are truly interested in the sector.
Industry Trends: Similarly, when asked about recent shifts or trends, try to avoid the most obvious ones. This is another chance to show your deep interest and knowledge in the sector.
CIM (Confidential Information Memorandum): This is a document prepared by a company in an effort to attract potential investors. It's important to understand the structure and purpose of a CIM, and how to analyze the information it contains.
