Baird Industrials Exits in 2022

Apologies, know these can be annoying, but wanted to get a quick idea of what these looked like. Know there was a problematic email and some blowback there, but curious how folks fare going into MM from this group as the seemingly top one in the firm. Not an intern

I hate to be that guy but can you not just look on LinkedIn? They place really well into strong MM PE as you would expect and you can easily find the firms with 2 minutes of looking. Couple recent were sterling and IGP but the list is long

It’s a sweaty group but extremely strong deal flow and responsibility for an analyst

Great deal flow; however, very light on modeling and very heavy on PPT. Be sure to practice modeling in your free time if PE or any investing job is something you’re thinking about as an exit op. Otherwise just rearrange logos, crank out CIPs, send out calendar invites and move your way up at Baird. Not a knock on Baird, it’s just the nature of their PrivateCo M&A, vanilla deal flow (which generates fees just the same as complex advisory that requires modeling).

Interesting, why is that Baird doesn’t model within their industrial, at a BB and we handle most of our models and the m&a team doesn’t want not deal with us as we are annoying

To clarify the lack of modeling comment. It’s more that a Baird process is much more focused on materials than creation of a complex model. A model is created for ever deal, just might be more simplistic than other firms.
