haha barcap is obsessed with football im so not surprised
whats the point of this post.. Nomura is advising Man U...

who cares about Liverpool. they are not even gonna make the champion's league...
It's true--Liverpool is shit.
Chelsea to win FA Cup (it's almost cruel to see Pompey fans keeping their hopes up) and hopefully the Premier League, but the Liverpool game could be tricky. I don't really see Man U winning it with their performance today in mind - without Rooney they are toothless.
Ugh, Was really hoping Man U would be able to win without Rooney...
On the topic of football, How about Messi's brilliance of late. Easily player of the year, regardless of performance for Argentina in the World Cup
Chelsea is the Goldman Sachs/KKR of football.
I'd say Barcelona's team from last year is the GS/KKR equivalent. Winning every trophy you compete for is pretty baller.
Inter knocking out the Blues was the best thing to happen to them. Kalou admitted that it reinvigorated their season.
They'll go on to take the FA Cup and League.
By the way, Wenger needs to go. Gunners haven't won anything in 5 seasons.
I think Wenger should be given another year. All the young players are starting to bloom and they just signed Chamakh from Bordeaux. Plus, they are technically still in contention for the title. Next year is make it or bust for Wenger though.
Psshhhh. The Premier League...
And yeah, Messi is player of the year. Again.
I'm fine with one more year. But even this season was supposed to be the season of promise.
Their style is fun to watch...but it's not very effective in the league or in Europe.
And why doesn't he ever spend any money on transfers?!?
What a surprise, an American website full of gloryhunting Man U and Chelsea fans. They're lucky to have you.
I think Barcap issued some loan/bond for Arsenal years ago as well... The collateral is the future gate receipts...
So just how good is this Messi guy I keep hearing about ?
search "Messi 4 - 1 Arsenal" on youtube.
You can't sack Wenger before giving him some real funds to play with.

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=anP0ILgGHV7c&pos=6[…] Out of curiosity, what group would handle this? I know Lehman had a sports-related group but i think that's gone now...
at JPM its real estate + M&A. Worked on the Cubs + Wrigley sale when I was a SA there.
