BB 2025 SA Virtual ACs in London Offices

I received virtual ACs for a few BBs, but all the information I was given regarding the ACs was that there would be three interviews back-to-back.

I would really appreciate it if someone had some insight regarding what I could expect. Are firms still doing group interviews and M&A case studies, or are those only for in-person ACs? I applied to IB/Financing divisions.

Thanks

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know about virtual assessment centers (ACs) for BBs in London offices:

  1. Interview Structure:

    • Expect three back-to-back interviews. This format is consistent with what has been shared for virtual ACs.
  2. Group Interviews and Case Studies:

    • The information provided does not specify whether group interviews and M&A case studies are included in virtual ACs. However, given the shift to virtual formats, it's possible that some elements traditionally done in person may be adapted or omitted.
  3. Preparation Tips:

    • Focus on the core components of the interviews, which likely include technical questions, behavioral questions, and possibly situational judgment tests.
    • Brush up on your knowledge of the M&A process and the role-specific responsibilities, as these are often emphasized in interviews.
  4. Networking and Informational Interviews:

    • Networking remains crucial. Engage in informational interviews and coffee chats (virtually) to learn more about the firms and show your interest.
  5. Technical and Behavioral Questions:

    • Be prepared for a mix of technical questions related to IB and financing divisions, as well as behavioral questions tailored to the specific firms.
  6. Virtual Format Advantages:

    • Virtual formats can be advantageous as they eliminate the need for travel and allow for more flexible scheduling.
