Best European countries for IB M&A?

I've been considering how I eventually want to work abroad in the EU, and was wondering besides the UK what European countries/economies would be considered best for investment banking, specifically M&A activity, salaries, work culture and local culture, etc. Trying to create a long-term plan, consider learning a new language, relocating eventually, all that, just as a thought exercise for now and maybe eventually a reality. Curious to hear what you all have to say. Thanks!
