Best time of day to email MD?

Might sound like a silly question, but what time of the day would be best to email an MD for networking purposes? Had an MD connection at a firm, and haven't been getting responses as of late. Been targeting afternoon, but maybe early morning (8a-9a) would be better since I'm thinking maybe my emails get lost in the mid-day flurry?

Afternoons are probably better since 8-9am they are cleaning up fires / commenting on decks coming in from overnight

Reality is MDs at least see your email's subject line (if you were a client they wouldn't dare miss your email) but are either too busy or don't want to help with recruiting. And while an MD has pull, the ratio of effort to successful referral is really a lot higher with analysts/associates

Agreed AN/AS are much more likely to respond and schedule a call. But one MD > probably any amount of junior bankers. Surely worth reaching out to them.
