Bit of a tricky situation here...

Interviewed in US and was given a job offer in by MD in US. However, due to Visa issues, I couldn't start work.

So MD in US forwarded my resume to the UK (where I do not need a Visa to work). MD in UK gave me a job offer which I accepted verbally and quickly because I have given up on my other offers in the US and recruiting season in the UK is OVER.

Now it seems that I will quite likely get a Visa in the US because of a processing error (don't ask)... So what do I do now? I haven't yet signed the offer in the UK, but have already done so in the US.

I ultimately want to stay in the US but a bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush? I can't sign the UK offer because that would mean that I would have to renege one when if my Visa gets approved.

Same firms in both countries btw.

Since it's the same firm, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I would try to get the US position, unless the "processing error" is somehow a huge fuckup on your part.

Why do your posts suck?

Is there a meaningful difference (either to you on a personal level or to your career) in taking the US offer over the UK offer?
