What do I do if the internship gets cancelled and I can't get a refund from my deposit at the apartment I'm staying at?
Will CS cover that?
This is my first internship out of state so I'm unsure how this works.
Honestly I think you’d be out of pocket on that, even if you were covered by CS it’s gonna be hard to track someone down at CS/UBS for the time being considering most of the people you’d be emailing having more pressing concerns right now. So would just be prepared to write that money off as lost until you know otherwise
all you can do is finding another gig in the same/close location.
If that doesn't work - you could try engaging with your travel insurance for the limited bits they'd cover. I don't think they cover internships as "travel", but it's worth a try. they wouldn't cover rent though... only accommodation. if you booked via AirBnB, it might work.
