Breaking into a POD from M&A

Can soneone please give a general picture regarding how this move can be done? Is it frequent from GS/MS/JPM at top M&A/Industry/Coverage groups? If so, at what seniority? What would someone have to do to achieve the move from this position? Is this the type of candidates they look for in their academies? Any other recommendations on how to do it will also be appreciated. Also, any colour into if it works differently in London would also be helpful. Thank you!

Decks aren't really what they're looking for ime. More so, looking at how you isolate the key debate, build a view + differentiation on where the numbers that matter are going into a given quarter and if you know how to structure a pitch correctly (i.e keep it 3 mins or shorter).

They can lateral to a pod or join one of the training programs.

To be honest, I've even seen a VP lateral. Its not like PE where there's a set time tbh.

Did u not see United Kingdom tag.

HF here is either work for citadel pod #11 or Lord Asquire's $30mm family office

Not very familiar with both options, can you give me further insights into the differences between the two? Thanks!
