Can you recruit from a study abroad school?

I go to school in the US and already have an offer for SA. I was wondering if I could recruit for London if I did a study abroad year in the UK my senior year.

Would this be possible, or would they only consider local students? I have my reasons for being interested in recruiting for London.

Assuming this is LSE's full year program or something similar, it's definitely possible to use their recruiting tools and you have full access to events, career services, etc. Locals definitely have an advantage in some cases due to visa complications, education standards (a full time LSE student will have an advantage over a non-target doing a year there, etc.), but I've seen it done multiple times. Also make sure you have your "why London over NYC/SF" story straight.

Worth noting that distance isn't actually the issue with London recruiting - there is no concept of resume pushing/networking into an interview at London BB/EBs and everyone, Oxbridge to Nottingham Trent, apply online through the standardised system and complete online tests. As a result, firms rely on using target schools to screen resume's and avoid looking at every single application that gets past the testing phase.

They consider students from EU schools like Bocconi/HEC but there may be differences in how sponsoring/visas work. I'll let someone else add more info since I'm unsure but wanted to give my 2 cents on the nature of recruiting here. Good luck
