Sweatshop, at least in P&U/EIT
How bad? Do you know anything about M&A and why so many people have left that team?
I honestly dk for sure. I just know this group had a killer year in Canada for FY25, so my best guess is that they worked ppl to the ground as a result.
Sweaty and there are some tough seniors. Any Canadian bank m&a group is going to be sweaty and a lot of analysts decide to leave for better WLB or trade to a global bank/ US for much better comp and exit opps
Roommate works there. Culture is pretty decent, seems like a lot of live execution which can drive tough hours but pretty good rep across the street.
Because they had good exits, the group itself isn't that sweaty – good M&A groups all have high turnover
Team has a good reputation and very active. A lot of the work is EIT but that is just because EIT has such high deal flow.
