#COVIDbanking: Culture/Communication Innovations?

Would be grateful if you could share innovative ways your teams/groups are managing to overcome the challenges of 100% remote working, specifically: -Best practices and idea sharing -Easier access to precedents -Training new hires and lateral hires -Enabling space for ["dumb"] questions -Fun group activities you've done virtually (e.g., virtual yoga/meditation)

I've been a banking staffer (one of the nice ones that care!) for multiple years. The challenge I see in the 100% virtual environment is junior bankers are spinning their wheels so much more than before because of the isolation. There's no one to pop over and ask a really quick question, so you have to call or IM or email...all of which is cumbersome relative to standing up in the bullpen and shouting out a question to the group. Time wasted exacerbates burnout--we are already working more than ever before because we're trapped at workhome and most don't have plans. We're also more anxious and paranoid than ever because we are in a f*ckg global pandemic, so we ask even fewer questions for fear of looking silly, and the deterioration of learning and engagement perpetuates.

We're doing the best we can to keep our team learning and engaged. We use Skype / Zoom / Emails mostly. Lots of desktop sharing and screen sharing over phone calls.

But if there are any new technologies we could explore (e.g., Slack?) - that would allow for a more organized storing of intellectual capital and sharing across teams while complying with the stringent banking recordkeeping, that would be great to know. Thanks!
