Credit risk to IBD
Hi all, i have IB experience from boutique advisory, target schools (bachelor and masters) and next summer will do credit risk summer in BB in London. Do you think that from this summer I can lateral to IBD? Or perhaps do you know how difficult it is? Just asking for advice, thanks
Not impossible but growing more and more unlikely with RO %’s falling for candidates within the IB internship, let alone those in outside divisions.
Obviously through networking during the summer anything is possible but you’re going to have to be pretty stellar.
I think a more feasible pivot would be to first go to corp banking since it’s much more credit focused (you’ll prob work with them naturally in credit risk), hopefully performing strong there, and then if you still want, move to IB a bit later.
