Credit Suisse Corporate Insights Group

Does anyone have insight into this group and its functions? I broadly understand that they advise the corporate executives of their IBD on a variety of topics related and unrelated to M&A. Does anyone know what the work is like? Do you learn the same skills? Do they originate any of their own business? Is pay and hours the same as the rest of IBD?
