Is CS Sponsors in London a good place to be at right now?
While the group certainly has recognition on this forum, it's hard to say whether it applies to NY only and other cities. From what I read on here, the group seems to have solid exits to the buy-side, even though I also saw some commentators say that MF placements are not as good as they used to be back in the day.
I've spoken to some analysts from the group and they've also confirmed good exit ops and mentioned that if you are a top performing analyst Directors/MDs will help you get a place on the buy-side.
It would be interesting to hear what does the WSO crowd think on this.
CS FSG/LevFin (they are grouped together) is the best group at CS, has very strong exits across the spectrum - from MF PE to distressed HFs. In London I would say that CS Sponsors is easily at the level of JPM - basically seating right below MS/GS.
