Do firms care about my personal tweets / politics? Can it get me fired

Hi,

I have recently been offered a full-time offer at a top BB bank in London, this is public knowledge to many people who look at my Linkedin and I have just had someone threaten to show my tweets to my employer.

My twitter account is anonymous, has no link to my name or my work, other than my personal email (which isn't visible). I don't have anything outrageously illegal or racist on there, but slightly edgy (think Nick Fuentes, Remigration, Reform Twitter). I do occasionally tweet some stuff out whenever some horrendous crime happens, but they are targeted towards the criminals not general immigrants.

This shouldn't be a problem right? Everyone is allowed to have their own personal political views and I do understand that corporate enviroments are typically more left leaning, but this shouldn't affect my work or be in breach of anything since its a anon account.

Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers,

Intern in IB-Cov
