Does Evercore Overhire SA?

Does Evercore overhire? (being they take more summer analysts than the amount of full time seats) I know that the class sizes have been increases over the past few years.

I ask because this will effect if I go in with a "this is my offer to lose" mindset compared to "I need to be better than X% of my peer cohort". I know the latter is cutthroat and likely will lead to friction or a decreased cohort culture.

Yes. Not to the extent of GS, but they do hire slightly more SAs than the number of FT seats (not necessarily to make it competitive, but rather they try to account for SA-FT attrition from bad interns, people recruiting for buyside, re-recruiting IB, etc)
