Evercore PCA: Buyside Support

How supportive are directors towards juniors recruiting for the buyside? I have some contacts at some large buyside secondary shops / arms of larger PE firms which I will be getting coffee with and talking about buyside recruitment. One noted that he was recruited through his MD referring him - and since the space is surprising small (everyone in NYC secondaries knows each other to a scary degree), I got the feeling that this practice is pretty common.

Due to how omnipresent many of the Evercore PCA directors are in the space, I want to navigate buyside recruitment without burning any bridges if possible (I.E. doing the full two years). I will be solely recruiting for 1b+ fund size secondary groups.

Does working in GP led deals set you up for traditional PE/Secondaries PE?
