Firm won’t pay signing bonus until 9 months after starting
Just began as an early intake AN1 on a January start.
Bc I'm an idiot & didn't read my contract too thoroughly until after signing - I didn't see that my signing bonus isn't paid out until the regular analyst intake (September).
I figured it wouldn't be an issue to just ask HR & explain that I need it with my first paycheck as it's obviously meant for relocation costs - but they're pushing back.
Any advice here? Am I just fucced or should I keep pestering them?
Any negotiation is tough when you don't have leverage. But you can ask that they pay you for your cost of relocation, but I wouldn't expect too much.
