I was just wondering if anyone here has experience with flat sharing
I am starting in London next year and am considering to try to find a good flat share to save some money on my rent expenses. The difference in costs is really huge. A nice one bedroom appt in London (Canary Wharf) is around £1000 per calendar month, but when I would share I could have the same luxury for only £500-600 per month. BUT, my question is whether this is really worth it? Did anybody of you had trouble giving up a bit of privacy?
Also, did anyone of you take the risk of renting a big appartment on your own and then sublet them to flatmates? Since there are some good deals for 3-5 bedroom appartements, I guess you can make some extra money on the side by doing this, but is it worth the risk? And can you (easily) combine it with a demanding first year analyst position?
