I was curious about how salary works if your company sends you to do a temporary 1 year project in a foreign branch. My company offers associates the opportunity to go work in the Mumbai branch for a year, mainly for global experience. I'm officially based in the NYC branch normally. Will I be paid the NYC salary or the normal salary of someone in Mumbai (which is much less). Will I be paid in dollars or rupees?
