FT offer jeopardized

Hi all,

I interned at a LMM/MM IB last summer and received a return offer. This week, I got an email from HR that essentially said I have to start full-time at a different office in a different city I've never been to if I want to keep my position. I'm not sure what to do as I don't want to lose my offer, but I also don't feel great about moving to this city -- far from friends, family etc. I'm pretty annoyed and feel like ditching the bank altogether.

Is it too late to try and secure an offer elsewhere? What should I try and do?

For reference, I go to a non-target private in the Midwest, have had 2 IB internships, and have a 3.9 GPA.
