Getting a job in Japan as UK undergraduate
What do you think about getting a job in IB or consulting company in Japan as a university of Bristol undergraduate, considering the university's international reputation and job prospects? I would be happy if you could answer specifically.
I know three people who found a job in Japan, one studied at Chiba University, the other was hired from London, and the third person has a Japanese wife and they moved back to Japan. All three are fluent in Japanese.
So, what job do you want and how is your Japanese?
If you are in finance, another avenue is to work for a Japanese company and then ask for a transfer - maybe?
I've been to Japan for leisure and business several times, it's a pretty big cultural shock, especially for anyone from a Five Eyes nation. Just something to keep in mind.
