Getting NYC SA as a Cambridge University undergrad **ANY Advice needed**

So I feel like I'm in a unique situation and I'm really not sure how to approach it.

Firstly my aim is to leave the UK after graduation, for various personal/quality of life reasons. I'm a dual citizen of Canada and the UK, so I initially looked at Bay street IB in Toronto, but was heavily discouraged (small market, underachieving potential etc)

I then got told that as a Canadian citizen I could potentially apply to NYC IB? I'm just wondering about the difficulty of this, however? I don't really have any contacts and I'm not sure how they'd perceive Cambridge in NYC?

Thanks
