Goldman London IB - Classic or Financing?
Given the change in the application form format for GS SA—and financing's & classic's SAs respectively are now two different OPENINGS on the website—is it still probable that people who applied for classic & got offers henceforth would still be staffed in a financing team during the internship (like usually happened in the past when majority of those who got IB offers had selected Classic on the JOINT Classic–Financing application form)? Or is it now certain that Financing / Capital Markets would only take all the number of interns they want STRICTLY from those who applied to Financing—without taking any who got offers after applying for Classic without getting selected to be staffed in Classic (given the possibility that a separate opening for Classic could perhaps mean that there would no longer be an excess of Classic applicants with offers over the available Classics headcount)?
