Goldman Sachs: Alternative Energy Investing Group

Does anyone have any info on the Alternative Energy Investing Group at GS? I've looked at the website as to what they do, but if you can share any experience that'd be appreciated.

- How active are they? I could only see a couple of deals on the press?

- What is the culture like? comp, hours?

- Are they well-regarded? I think they are ex SSG (so part of MBD now) and presumably highly thought of within GS? what about the industry generally?

I assume the risk with such a desk is that overspecialization and nicheness but I don't know how founded this is.

Thank you.
