I can only comment on the west coast office. Long, but uneven hours, lean deal teams and MDs can be hit or miss in terms of mentorship. Lots of people who washed out of normal banks but have a Rolodex.

I think it’s a good place if you strike out at all the well known banks, you can still get some experience and spin it on your resume that you do investment banking.

We almost hired an analyst who worked there, but he didn’t really have much deal experience and that’s what ultimately dinged him.

And did you work there? You're post sounds like maybe you're reporting what you heard from someone you were maybe gonna hire

Any idea on the base salary for Directors? (not MDs)?
