Hours will be just as bad after WFH finishes?

Will hours be just as bad after WFH finishes because...

Expectations are sticky, particularly in banking. Seniors expectations of all juniors has risen across the board with people being crushed. Although people will have the camaraderie of being back at the office, I fear that extra senior demands on doing work will stay so it won't be the case anymore that you leave the office and you can just pick things up the next morning, instead expectations of working to 3am etc at home will just carry on from returning home from the office so you get screwed on commute and extras.

Thoughts?

Fully agree. Banks have realized they can set these demands and college kids still line up to get jobs (although we have seen a slight dip in inbound networking requests at my BB). This is now the standard and I’m assuming going back to the office just equals less sleep and higher COL for those of us who moved out of the cities.
