How do BBs hire experienced candidates?

Long story short I'm at a better MM firm in London, have been here for 3 years and am an a2a. I want to move to a (good) BB, GS/MS/BofA/Citi etc but I dont know how they recruit? They dont seem to use the HHs im familiar with and also dont post positions online. Anyone know how this works?

Apply direct. Most London HHs are lazy bums who won’t give you time of day if you’re at an MM, even if you have top tier academics, and will only show you other MM ops. Of course the same HHs who wouldn’t even acknowledge your messages when you were trying to move out of MM will be pounding your phone line as soon as you land that top BB/EB role (speaking from experience).
