How does A2A bonus work?
What should I expect for an A2A bonus? How would it get paid out? Any clue what MM like Truist/Piper/RJ pay? Assuming I'm going to lateral to EB, can I ask for a signing bonus as well?

Career Resources
London BB - ours was 35k GBP. They split it into two payments, so you get half when you are promoted to associate and the other half a year later.
You have to pay it back if you leave within a year of taking the money, for both payments. So if you leave within a year, you get nothing. Within two years, you keep the first 17.5k payment. Stay for over two years and you keep the 35k.
That is not a good deal
Bump. Any info for the U.S?
does bofa do this?
At an MM in US. The promo bonus is pro-rated over 12 months and paid out as an adder to base salary over your first associate year. No clawbacks.
Do you know what is the average amount for A2A bonus?
They really seem to vary across banks. Ours is in the $40-50k area which is probably on the lower end relative to other banks.
