I'm an Analyst at a BB in London, and from what I can see, those that have been promoted internally seem to be those that have just stuck around and not left. This leads me to question how hard is it actually to become MD at a bank on London? Do you have to be quite talented, or is it more a matter of just not being terrible and being willing to stick around?
