During my SA, interns were sent to live deals immediately after training. I understand there is a much tighter time window so the goal is evaluate interns as soon as possible.
However, reading this forum, my takeaway is that once you join for full time, the ramp period is much longer and you could go months before giving any real meaningful work.
Is this generally true?

In my group, we had 1-2 weeks extra training and then a very casual ramp up which included being staffed on live stuff with second years. Made the first few months really relaxing.
