How long until FT Analysts and Associates get real work?
During my SA, interns were sent to live deals immediately after training. I understand there is a much tighter time window so the goal is evaluate interns as soon as possible.
However, reading this forum, my takeaway is that once you join for full time, the ramp period is much longer and you could go months before giving any real meaningful work.
Is this generally true?
Super group dependent. One group at my bank immediately staffs you on live deals, without a second year to help.
In my group, we had 1-2 weeks extra training and then a very casual ramp up which included being staffed on live stuff with second years. Made the first few months really relaxing.
