How many hours at the desk?

How many hours a week do you actually spend in office during an average week? It sounds like several firms are starting to walk back their WFH policies. When I was an intern it was pretty standard for analysts to leave from 7-9 throughout the week and be fully WFH on Fridays. Curious if people are spending more time in the office now than they did in recent years.

I don't know a single major bank which isn't 5 days a week as default in FO rn. Even if it's not top down official policy, that's the messaging internally. People seem to be able to take random days at home for good reason though.

Finishing work at home still happens, but tbh some people just like finishing work in office, then being able to get home and "switch off".
