How much "Technical" depth is required for O&G IB?
Hey everyone,
I recently started as a Commercial Analyst in the A&D team at an E&P company. My long-term goal is to lateral into Oil & Gas Investment Banking. I’m struggling to find the "sweet spot" for how much technical knowledge I should personally master. I don't want to become a pseudo-engineer, but I also don't want to be the "Excel monkey" who doesn't understand the asset he's selling.
