How necessary is networking for London IB/PE?

Currently recruiting for 4-8 month London internship roles from Canada, was wondering how necessary networking is over there. Not sure if the culture is the same in the UK where you need to network in order to be successful with landing an interview/offer. Any insights would be appreciated.

Investment Banking Full Resume Review

“Overall it was a seamless process with very little back and forth. The feedback was very clear and actionable. It was very obvious were my short comings were and where I needed to improve my resume. Feed back was very constructive and overall was super helpful. The process was very streamlined and efficient. The only thing I would improve from the process not necessarily the mentor was that there should be a way to disclose if you are under a non disclosure agreement because that created some friction when implementing feedback.”

Investment Banking Mock Interview

“Iason is super knowledgeable, gives very practical feedback, he was able to walk me through how to answer all of the behaviourals for my Evercore interview, we also had the chance to review some technicals as well. His insights on the markets and commercial awareness were top notch and gave me a very clear idea of what to say in an interview to stand out since those questions are starting to become more and more important in today’s day an age. He went well over time and helped me clarify anything ”
