How relevant is a plain "Investments Summer Analyst" for IBD summer rerecruiting? I'm worried its too plain and does not have enough of an advisory aspect.
Currently at a large family office, worried that it's not super relevant to roles in IBD compared to something already in advisory, which many people would have. I already have a big 4 advisory summer from before.
My other option is in the remaining few weeks I push to join a more relevant team maybe on the lending side. Any thoughts?
You now have experience working with investors and the internship looks great on a resume.
Instead of focusing on the experiences you didn’t gain from your internship, focus on what you did gain.
Repetition of Analyst, pls fix
Questions like this always interest me because what are you going to do if we say it's too plain? Tell your manager "this isn't close enough to IB for me" then quit with nothing else on the table?
Do the job. Take the most you can out of it. If there's a team that's interesting to you, make relationships there and pursue your interest.
